$1,000 one time scholarship first semester of 2012
Getting Started
The deadline for scholarship application must be postmarked by March 1, 2012.
Refer to the criteria below for eligibility.
The selected candidate will be notified via mail by May 1, 2012. Their scholarship will be written directly to the college of their choice in Nebraska upon invoice submission.

Award Criteria
Applicant must be registered at Elm Creek, Lexington, Overton, Amherst, or SEM Senior High School.
Applicant must be at the senior level defined through credit hours at their institution.
Applicant must be seeking an Agricultural College Degree with preference given to animal science majors.
Applicants must have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Two Character references in the form of a recommendation letter. References must be non-family members.
A copy of your most recent transcript with cumulative GPA.
Personal Essay: What are your career goals and how do they relate to the agricultural industry in Nebraska? (400 words or less - typed in 12pt font)
Each of these 4 categories will be scored on a 1-4 scale.
